3D-RBC system water balance
At least 97% of the water is available for beneficial reuse
For a 15 m³/day decentralized domestic wastewater treatment unit, the design water balance shows that no more than 1% of the incoming water leaves with removed sludge, while the remaining volume passes through treatment. Yuntai International therefore uses a more conservative public value: at least 97% water recovery.
Why state 97% when the design balance indicates at least 99%?
The difference does not represent an additional permanent water loss. A margin of at least two percentage points allows for flow-meter uncertainty, short-term load variation, maintenance, sampling and site-specific operating conditions. This makes the 97% figure conservative, verifiable and technically defensible.
Calculation: 15.00 − 0.15 = 14.85 m³/day; 14.85 ÷ 15.00 × 100% = 99%. Publicly stated value: ≥97%.
Potential uses of treated water
- landscape and flower irrigation;
- approved irrigation applications;
- other authorized non-potable uses;
- compliant discharge only after water quality is confirmed and the discharge destination is approved.
How performance is verified
The actual recovery ratio is determined from inlet and outlet flow-meter readings over the same reporting period. Treated-water quality is confirmed by laboratory testing against project requirements and applicable local regulations.
Important: 97% describes the quantity of water recovered. It is not a removal percentage for COD, BOD, nitrogen, suspended solids or microorganisms. Reuse or discharge suitability depends on laboratory results, the intended use and applicable requirements. This statement does not provide for direct discharge into Lake Issyk-Kul.
